Asked about waiver of Petrobras will undergo public consultation

The national agency of petroleum, Natural gas and biofuels (ANP) opens, as of today, 9 February, the public consultation that seeks to raise subsidies for examining the application for exemption from compliance with local content (waiver) of the FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading-floating production Unit, storage and transfer) of Petrobras ' Pound.

The public consultation, according to the Agency, will have a duration of 30 days, to be counted from the date of publication in the Official Gazette (GIVE). The contributions to the consultation should be sent to the address: isençã A public hearing has already been scheduled and should happen on day 30 March.

The ANP reported that both public consultation as the audience have the objective of ensuring transparency and the participation of all stakeholders in the decision-making process.  The Agency aims to seek the resolution of the request for exemption of Local content obligations held by Petrobras, at the end of August, 2016, for the hiring of the Stationary Unit of production, which will be allocated to meet the Pound pilot project.

After the examination of the documentation submitted by the company together with the information received in the consultation, the Agency will prepare a recommendation to the Board, I hope that the Collegiate final decision. The Libra, FPSO is scheduled to be installed in 2020, when the Consortium plans to put into operation the first definitive system active.

According to Petrobras, the unit will have capacity to produce 180,000 b/d of oil and compress 12 million m ³/d of natural gas. However, in a recent announcement, the State spokesman reported that no waiver, there will be no project. The process should only happen after the hearing at the end of March.
