After the controversy involving the process that called for salary adjustments, Petrobras has now had the name involved in labor complaints. The MPT (Public Ministry of Labor) found the receipt of several complaints made by oil and gas workers regarding changes in the scale without notice or prior negotiation during the pandemic period. In addition, as there was a reduction in personnel for safety reasons, many had service overload.
A decision of the TRT (Regional Labor Court) valid for the entire national territory, prohibited the state to increase the scale of work of its employees – own and outsourced – without prior consent. Failure to comply with the legal standard that allows the period of 15 consecutive working days will result in a fine of R$ 50,000.
