Petrobras: Buzios reaches record 664,000 bpd

Petrobras reported a new record reached by its four platforms, installed in the Buzios field, in the pre-salt of the Saints. According to the state- owned company, the facility hit 664,000 barrels of oil (bpd) and 822,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed). The communiqué was made last Monday (29).

It is worth remembering that Buzios is the largest oil field in waters and holds the P-74, P-75, P-76 and P-77 platforms. Buzios was discovered in 2010 and, according to Petrobras, "is a world-class asset, with substantial reserves, low risk and low extraction cost."

The new record exceeds the previous mark announced on 11 march of this year, when daily production was 640,000 barrels per day, in addition to 790,000 barrels of oil equivalent.
