Petrobras releases record in 2019

Last Monday (10), Petrobras released in an official statement, which recorded in 2019 a record daily average of oil and gas production. An average of 2.77 million barrels of oil were produced equivalent.

The volume was 5.4% higher than that recorded in the 2018 average and includes production in Brazil (2.688 million boe per day) and abroad (82,000 boe per day). Oil production in 2019 stood at 2.172 million barrels, of which 1.277 million barrels were in the pre-salt.

“The year’s operating performance reflects the best result in 2S19, driven by ramp-up of new production systems, which more than offset the challenges faced in 1S19,” the company said.
