Last Wednesday (23), Petrobras reported that it found signs of the presence of oil in an exploratory well in an area of ultra-deep waters in the pre-salt of the Campos Basin. The Basin has been in activity for 43 years, and lately has shown a decline in production. The discovery was made in block C-M-657, and the well was called Naru.
The block in question was auctioned two years ago by the consortium formed by Petrobras, which is the operator with 30%, ExxonMobill, which owns 40% and Equinor, with 30%.
