Petrobras is the second most valuable company in Brazil

Petrobras has surpassed the Itaú Unibanco in the Deputy leadership in terms of market value, according to a survey of financial information provider Economatica, held in early October. Ambev led as the most valuable in Brazil and Latin America.

The State reached a value of R$ 211.64 billion – R$ 27 million above market value of Itaú Unibanco, which at the same time was worth R$ 211.61 billion. In February 2016, the oil company came to be the fourth-largest company, behind the Ambev, Itaú Unibanco and Bradesco.

According to Economatica, the last time that Petrobras was the second largest company in the Brazilian market was on 18 June 2015, when its market value of the company was R$ 185.44 billion against R$ billion 183.90 Itaú Unibanco.
