A contract signed by Petrobras and Açu Petróleo will allow more than doubling the volume of oil exported through the project. The agreement provides that the Brazilian state-owned company will drain up to 240 million barrels of oil per day through the Port of Açu in up to two years.
The statement was released last week by the private terminal of the Port of Açu. Before this new flow proposal, the old contract included the export of only 100 million barrels. According to Açu Petróleo, Petrobras had already requested the expansion of the volume of operation twice, since 2019.
