An authorization from the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) allowed Petrobras to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) from any country in the short term, and Amber Energia imports up to 2.3 million m³/day of natural gas from Bolivia. The authorization was given to companies last Friday (14).
In the case of Petrobras, the company has 31 million m³ of LNG/year of volume released, with authorization for importation valid until January 31, 2023. The product will be delivered to the terminals of Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro; the Port of Pecém, in the state of Ceará and Bahia and the Baía de Todos os Santos, in Bahia, where lng regasification stations are also located.
Amber received authorization from the agency to import up to 2.3 million m³/day of natural gas from Bolivia. All transport will be done by the Lateral-Cuiabá Gas Pipeline and will be delivered to the border between Bolivia and Brazil, in Cáceres. The gas will be destined to UTE Mário Covas and UTE Cuiabá.
