The state oil company announced that it will make an assessment of the right of preference in the auction of the surplus of the onerous cession, which should take place on October 28th. Petrobras will have a maximum of 30 days to pronounce and inform the Government if it wishes to participate in up to 30% in the areas of Atapu, Búzios, Itapu and Sépia.
The auction can yield R $106 billion to the public vaults. Only the Búzios field can raise R $68 billion to the union. Since 2010 Petrobras has the right of preference after the implementation of the production sharing regime in Brazil, which provides for the entry of the state in all fields of the pre-salt. In view of the current position of the oil tanker, what will be the positioning of this new board? We look forward to scenes from the next chapters.
