The Petrobras brazilian State reported that in 2016 reached its production target for the second consecutive year and that in the month of December the company generated new records. With the 2,144,256 barrels by di (bpd), the brazilian production reached annual record history, being 0.75% in 2015.
The pre-salt also exceeded expectations and reached the record number of 1.02 million barrels of oil per day, 33% higher than in 2015. Natural gas already got 77 million cubic meters daily, value never before reached. This sum amounted to brazilian production in 2,630,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), 1% up to 2015.
In a statement, the company credited growth in production numbers in the fields of Squid and Sapinhoá, in the pre-salt Santos basin, in the area of Parque das Baleias, in the Campos Basin and due to the start-up of three systems in the pre-salt Santos basin.
Already overseas production in 2016 fell to 19% as compared to 2015. The number increases doubt as to the question of the need of Petrobras hire abroad a total of 100% of the construction of the first oil rig to operate in the pre-salt Santos basin, reported by Panorama on the Offshore day 12 January (read: http://migre.me/vRW35). Faced with this fall, will be even if it will be worth all this investment in overseas platform?
