Petrobras has authorization to import aviation gasoline

In front of the stop for maintenance of the unit of Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC), in Cubatão (SP), the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) granted authorization, as an exception, to Petrobras for the movement of aviation gasoline in facilities in the port of Santos, in order to ensure the supply of fuel by the state to the domestic market.

The resolution of the ANP grants the movement of aviation gasoline loads in bulk chemical installations between February 1 and July 31, 2019, since the shutdown in the fuel production unit of the RPBC should last until June 2019. The refinery in Cubatão is responsible for the production of aviation gasoline in Brazil and has a capacity of 5 million liters per month.

More imports are scheduled with delivery in February which, according to the state, total 19.2 million liters of fuel. The imports are being carried out to meet the demands of the customers, but there is stock of the product in Santos for prompt delivery of dealers and distributors. That is, it will not lack fuel from the BR.
