Petrobras begins sale of Polo Carmópolis

In a statement sent to the market, Petrobras announced that it has begun the non-binding phase for the sale of its stakes in a set of eleven concessions of land production fields in the Carmópolis Pole, in Sergipe.

"This operation is aligned with the strategy of portfolio optimization and the improvement of the company's capital allocation, increasingly concentrating its resources on world-class assets in deep and ultra deep waters, where Petrobras has demonstrated a great competitive differential over the years," the company said.

According to the state, potential buyers qualified for this phase will receive instructions on the disinvestment process, including information for sending proposals. The average production of the pole from January to October 2020 was about 10,000 barrels of oil per day and 71,000 m3/day of gas.
