Petrobras launches bid to hire new ships-platforms

The Brazilian state initiated the bidding process to hire a platform (FPSO), for the pre-salt production in the Buzios field. In addition, Petrobras will carry out two more competition for hiring platforms for the Marlin field, in the Campos basin, and another for the Whale park in the Espírito Santo basin.

The platforms, which must start oil production in 2018, are budgeted at about US $1 billion each, investment already foreseen by the oil for this year of 2017. In recent interview, Pedro relative, chairman of the company, said that the contract is dented in the business Plan 2017/2021, which provides investments of US $74.1 billion in the period.

Relative also said that there will be a revision in the plan, which should be disseminated this year. According to the executive, in relation to the investments and projects foreseen in the current plan of the period, changes will not be so profound. Recently Petrobras reported that it reduced 6% of the investment project to 2017.
