Petrobras agrees and receives 8.4 billion in credit

In the last Friday (20), the state-owned Petrobras concluded the contract for the transfer of credit rights – an agreement that allows the company to receive an early credit of 8.4 billion from Eletrobras.

The Treaty recognizes the receivables of Eletrobras found in the instruments of debt assumption (IADs) referring to the totality of the debts confessed in 2014 by the Eletrobras system, with original maturity until January 2025, according to the oil company.

The contract was signed in a structured operation by Banco Santander (Brazil) S.A., Banco Itaú BBA S.A. and BB Banco de Investimento S.A. The completion of the operation is scheduled for the coming days, but subject to the approval of the usual conditions for this type of transaction.

The funds received will be destined to the management of liabilities of the company, aiming to reduce the debt by means of partial payment settled between the parties.
