Petrobras should have high profits from polo sale

The sale of Polo Potiguar, in Rio Grande do Norte, should ensure another escalation in Petrobras' profits. Among the proposals received is 3R Petroleum, which offered more than $1 billion for the acquisition, and thus registered the highest bid and came out ahead for the acquisition. The companies are in negotiations to complete the sale of the Pole, which has 26 land and rare water production fields, including the Clara Camarão refinery.

However, the success of the sales process also depends on factors such as the end of negotiations and corporate and regulatory approvals, especially the ANP (National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) and Cade (Administrative Council of Economic Defense). In a statement, the state said it "reinforces its commitment to the broad transparency of its disinvestment and management projects of its portfolio and informs that the subsequent stages of the project will be disclosed in a timely manner."
