Petrobras needs to explain explosion in refinery by October 20

The National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and biofuels (ANP) has stipulated a deadline for Petrobras to justify the reasons for the Replane explosion in August, Paulínia-Sao Paulo. The oil company has until October 20th to pronounce and clarify what the causes of the accident were.

The explosion on the 20th of August has left losses in the production, which fell in half. Replan was responsible for refining 20% of oil in Brazil, equivalent to 415,000 barrels of plant derivatives. The refinery is responsible for serving markets in the interior of Sao Paulo, Mato Grosso, Acre, Rondônia, Mato Grosso do Sul and others.

It is still unknowable when the Replan will operate normally. But according to Petrobras, the production is maintained at 50% and has attended the daily planning of the company, the forecast is that the works for restoration of what was lost start this year so that the refinery can recover the damage caused by the explosion.

Petrobras confirms imports of diesel and kerosene for aviation, in order to compensate for the damage caused by the explosion of the Replan. The consumer's pocket pays dearly for the fuel because the demand is higher, but the offer is smaller.
