Petrobras will not meet 100% of demand in March

Petrobras has informed its distributors that it will not meet demand for March and April in its entirety. The statement from the state-owned company brought a warning to investors and industry about the risk of market shortages in the coming months.

Despite this, it is worth remembering that the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) said that it does not see chances of missing the product at this time. However, some importers have been reporting difficulties in making foreign purchases since last year, since Petrobras would be practicing prices below import parity in the domestic market, which prevents the commercialization of volumes brought from abroad.
