Petrobras opens voluntary dismissal program

Petrobras opened the voluntary dismissal program (PDV), which provides for the adherence of approximately 4300 employees. According to the state, the estimate is that the reduction in the workforce results in an economy up to R $4.1 billion up to 2023.

The program is geared towards workers who retire until June 2020, when registrations will be closed. The PDV aims, above all, in cutting expenditures with the justification of economic recovery of the company, through renovation in the workforce.

It is estimated that about 17000 employees have already adhered to the PDVs promoted by Petrobras. Currently, the State and its subsidiaries have about 62000 employees, of which 47500 are crowded in the parent company.
