Petrobras wants to offer braskem and gaspetro shares

Roberto Castello Branco, President of Petrobras, recently announced that the state-owned company intends to sell its share of Braskem and Gaspetro. On average, Petrobras would have received about five non-binding offers per each refinery of the first batch of four units put up for sale – in Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Pernambuco and Bahia. However, the final offers should only be delivered in 2020.

Today, the state owned company owns 30% of Braskem and 51% of Gaspetro. Still according to Castello Branco, the idea is to offer the shares of companies on the Stock Exchange already next year. The company is expected to raise between $20 billion and $30 billion from the sale of assets, according to the business plan recently Announced.
