Petrobras receives R$ 232.6 million per Vitol agreement

Last Tuesday (29), Petrobras reported having received the amount of R $ 232.6 million from the leniency agreement concluded between the Federal Prosecutor 's Office (MPF) and the vitol trading, approved on December 18, 2020 by the Mpf's Anti-Corruption Chamber. With this amount, the total resources returned to the oil company with collaboration agreements, leniency and repatriations, under Operation Lava Jato, already exceeds R$ 4.8 million.

In a statement, the state reinforced its "commitment to adopt appropriate measures, seeking adequate compensation for the damages arising from the illegal acts committed".

Vitol was one of the targets of the 57th phase of Operation Lava Jato, which was launched on December 5, 2018.
