Despite being under new management, Petrobras follows the same plans as the previous management. In the first meeting with investors, the new executives reinforced the state's commitment to the sale of assets, debt reduction and alignment of fuel prices to international oil prices.
The message of the new board remains aligned with the values of the previous management. It is noteworthy that General Joaquim Silva e Luna, appointed by Jair Bolsonaro to lead Petrobras, did not participate in the question stage during the conference call with analysts to explain the company's results in the first quarter of 2021. Silva and Luna have been in charge of the company since April this year.
Despite this, in a previously recorded video, the general stressed that he will work for the state to produce over the next few years more oil than in its entire history. According to Luna, this will be possible thanks to the giant reservoirs of the pre-salt, especially in the field of Buzios. It is estimated that 2 million barrels per day will be extracted from the commodity, representing about 65% of the company's total production today.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
