Petrobras launches 2nd phase of asset sales in refining

Petrobras initiated the stage of disclosure of opportunities (teasers) referring to the second phase of the processes of sale of assets in refining and logistics that includes the REGAP (Gabriel Passos Refinery), REMAN (Isaac Sabbá Refinery), LUBNOR (lubricants and derivatives of Oil from the northeast) and SIX (schist Industrialization unit), as well as its corresponding logistic assets. The announcement was released in an official statement issued by the state on Friday (13).

The sale of refineries is part of the investment plan of Petrobras that aims at the sale of assets for economic recovery of the company and, consequently, in the break of monopoly of the state in the onshore and offshore markets in Brazil. The REGAP, located in the municipality of Betim, in Minas Gerais, has a processing capacity of 166,000 barrels/day (7% of the total oil refining capacity in Brazil) and its assets include a set of pipelines with more than 720 Km.

REMAN, located in Manaus, in the state of Amazonas, has a processing capacity of 46000 barrels/day and its assets include a storage terminal.

LUBNOR, located in Fortaleza, Ceará, has a processing capacity of 8000 barrels/day, is one of the national leaders in asphalt production and the only in the country to produce napher lubricants.

SIX, located in São Mateus do Sul, Paraná, has an installed capacity of 6000 barrels/day and its assets include a mine in one of the largest reserves of bituminous shale in the world and a shale processing plant.
