Petrobras has suspended the sale of the pipeline unit of NTS
Given a popular action, the second stick of Justice Federal de Sergipe granted an injunction suspending the sale made by Petrobras of 90% of the shareholding of the new pipeline unit Carrier South East (NTS), the consortium led by Canadian Brookfield group.
The sale had been approved at the extraordinary general meeting of Petrobras and released on 30 November 2016. According to information of the G1, the transaction was made in the amount of $5.19 billion. The Union of oil tankers of Alagoas and Sergipe, plaintiff, alleged that the company was raising the sale in accordance with the bidding rules.
Through the note, the State reported that "is taking the appropriate legal action on behalf of their interests and of their investors". The new Carrier South East (NTS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Petrobras, natural gas carrier, which was created from the restructuring of Associated Gas Carrier (TAG).
