Last Thursday (17), Petrobras reiterated that suspended the marketing of a batch of aviation gasoline that would be with different composition. The action was a consequence of complaints made in recent days that gasoline was causing corrosion of aircraft parts, endangering flight safety.
Through a note, the state-owned company said that the fuel imported by the company meets all the requirements of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) and the product has the quality reanalyzed in its laboratories before the sale.
According to Petrobras, the analyzed lot was imported directly from a traditional refiner in the North American market. "This refiner confirmed that the specification of the lot sold to Petrobras is the same as the lots sold to American airports." "The technical areas of Petrobras and the supplier are in contact for appropriate measures," the company said.
