Total oil may have relief from 13% in ICMS

Currently in the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap) the proposal of the State Government to give exemption from 13% in the rate of tax on circulation of Goods (GST) charged on the purchase of fuel in Amapá to French oil company Total.
Fiscal immunity seeks to create conditions so that the company create the multinational base in Amapá, from oil exploration off the coast of the municipality of Oiapoque, 590 kilometers from Macapá.

The Amapá Government 25% reduced to 12% the rate of the GST on fuel used for flights of the Total in the State. The French multinational is the only beneficiary, however, the proposal sets that exemption may be suspended at any time, by specific Decree, without the right for the company.
