Puerto Rico will have energy from renewable sources

Point to the planet. The Government of Puerto Rico approved bill that obliges the region to have 100% of its energy from renewable sources, being wind, solar, biomass or hydroelectric, until the year 2050. The prediction is that the measure is sanctioned around a month.

The proposal had a great influence on the passage of Hurricane Maria that left the area amid a blackout for 11 months. The population and several jobs, to deal with this consequence, have developed emergency projects to capture energy such as the installation of solar panels and batteries in hospitals, community centers, among others.
