PPSA has new CEO

On Thursday, March 28, he was appointed by the Board of Directors of Pre-Sal Petróleo S.A. (PPSA) The new CEO of the company. The chosen one was the mechanical engineer, José Eduardo Vinhaes Gerk, who takes office on April 1 for a two-year term.

The new director will join another four members of the collegiate who represent the government in the production sharing contracts, being responsible for the commercialization of oil and natural gas of the Union, as well as acting in the individual production agreements.

Petrobras was where the engineer, formed by the Military Engineering Institute, kicked off his career. With a master's and PhD in mechanical engineering and 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Gerk is the company's bet to move the work at PPSA. José Eduardo Gerk replaced Ibsen Flores Lima.
