Pre-salt was responsible for 50% of the national production

According to data from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), for the first time the pre-salt hit all records and was responsible for 50% of the Brazilian production of barrels of oil and Natural gas. The deed took place in the month of December 2017, when 50.7% of the country's total barrels were extracted.

Pre-salt production has gradually grown. In 2012, it represented 10% of the production and in 2014 corresponded 25%. In 2016 the production was 40% and in June 2017 the pre-salt first surpassed the bidding. Last December the production had this landmark registered.
