Gas production hits record

Natural gas production in Brazil hit a record low in July this year. Were produced 115 million cubic meters per day surpassing the 111.8 MMm3/d recorded in December 2016. The volume represents an increase of 3.5% over the previous month and 7.3 percent compared to July of last year.

Oil production totaled 2,623,000 barrels per day (bbl/d), a decrease of 1.9% in comparison with the previous month and an increase of 1.5% over the same month in 2016. The reduction in relation to June is due, mainly, to shutdown the platform P-58, which operates in the area named Parque das Baleias.
