Natural gas production will double in less than 10 years

According to calculations made by the energy research company (EPE), the net production of natural gas from Brazil should grow around 55% by 2026. Will current production 61 million cubic meters/day for approximately 95 million cubic meters/day.

Net production includes the total gas produced, minus the volume burned on platforms, reinjected in the pits and consumed in the production units. Reinforcing that thesis of increased gas production as Offshore Panorama had already reported, the EPE suggested Petrobras cut, by half, the volume of natural gas imported from Bolivia, in view of Brazil have great prospects of becoming self-sufficient in gas
