Oil production falls 8% in the country in February

Data from the National Agency for Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) showed that average oil production in Brazil totaled 2.73 million barrels per day in February. The data were released last Wednesday (17).

The number represents a drop of 8% compared to the same month of the previous year. Domestic production averaged 3.55 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe/d) in February. Of the total produced, a volume of 2.6 million boe/d, about 73%, came from the pre-salt. However, the reason for the fall is still unknown.
