The Norwegian oil company Statoil said in a statement, which has high expectations for offshore production in the Gulf of Mexico. According to Tore Loeseth, head of Statoil exploration in the United States and Mexico, it is expected that the US offshore production almost double in 2020, from 60 thousand barrels per day recorded in 2016.
This is because the Nordic company resumed their operating intentions in the Gulf of Mexico featuring maximum bids for 13 offshore concession areas (in the sea) oil and gas in deep waters.
Apparently Statoil believes and in the offshore industry, as has invested in various areas and fields, including in Brazil, as previously reported by Panorama Offshore (http://migre.me/wiOm9).
