Oil production rises 4.6% in April

Data from the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) showed that average oil production in Brazil grew 4.6% in April of this year, compared to the previous month.

The volume went to 2.97 million barrels per day (bpd), the second consecutive monthly high. Compared to April 2020, the increase was 0.5%. The highlights in the advances in national production are with Petrobras and Shell.

Adding to oil and gas production, domestic production in April was 3.8 million barrels of oil equivalent, a 4.5% increase compared to March and a 1.7% increase over April last year.
