The National Agency for Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported last Tuesday (1° ) that Brazilian P&G production reached 3.692 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) in October, showing a drop of 2.6% compared to the same period last year, but in line with the previous month.
According to the agency, Brazilian oil production totaled 2.874 million barrels per day, 1.2% lower than in September and 3.0% lower than in the same month last year.
Natural gas production rose 3.8% compared to the previous month, although it fell 1.2% year-on-year, reaching 130 million cubic meters per day, the ANP added.
Pre-salt production reached 2.535 million boed, considering both oil pumping and natural gas production, especially the Tupi field in the Santos Basin, Brazil's largest producer.
Among the companies, Petrobras' oil and natural gas production reached 2.73 million boed in the period, followed by Shell Brasil (425.9 thousand boed) and Petrogal Brasil (124.8 thousand boed), the ANP added.
