The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) recently approved the purchase of 81.5% of Cosan Biomassa’s stake by Raízen – a partnership between Shell and Cosan in the fuel sector. The approval makes Shell closer to completing its entry into the biomass branch from Cosan.
The company between the two companies results in Raízen Fuels and Raízen Energia, in addition to several other subsidiaries. Together they are responsible for the production and distribution of sugar and ethanol.
Cosan Biomass, on the other hand, produces and markets sugarcane bagasse and straw, biomass used as fuel. According to information sent to Cade, the marketing is done to customers abroad, which use the products on an experimental basis.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
