Replan records the biggest drop in production since 2010
According to data from the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), Petrobras' largest refinery in Brazil, Replan recorded in April the lowest rate of refined oil in the last ten years at the unit. Ten years ago, the unit produced 908,312 cubic meters during the same month, and this year, it processed only 920,092,000 cubic meters.
In the accumulated, production in the unit also had a drop of 20.4% compared to the same period last year. According to ANP data, from January to April 2020 4,628,041 cubic meters of oil were processed at the plant, while in the four months of 2019 the rate was 5,814,819.The signif
icant drop in production is a reflection of the new coronavirus pandemic, which caused Petrobras to reduce oil refining due to social isolation to contain the progress of cases of the disease
