Russia and Saudi Arabia gather to control the price of oil

Saudi Arabia and Russia have closed an agreement to try to keep the price of the oil barrel at the current levels, just below us $75 (R $284.16).

The proposal will be brought to OPEC (organization of the oil-importing countries) in a meeting that takes place today (22) and tomorrow (23) in Vienna, Austria.

The Saudis, second place in the ranking of commodity producers, and the Russians, third, try to reduce the hegemony of the USA, the largest supplier of the world's product.

In 2017, OPEC and Russia, which is not part of the group, agreed to decrease the production of natural oil to reverse the excessive drop in the price of the barrel – the value reached US $27 (R $102.30) at the beginning of 2016. Source: Metro1.
