Shell's fuel sales may fall

In an update on its trading operations last Wednesday (7), Anglo-Dutch oil company Shell said it expects its fuel sales to fall or at least remain stable in the first quarter of this year.

Initially, Shell projected its sales would reach 4.5 million bpd in the quarter. However, sales were between 3.7 million and 4.7 million barrels per day (bpd), compared to 4.8 million bpd in the last quarter of 2020. The statement was one indicating that demand recovery is slow.
