Even with crisis, Petrobras sets export record

Despite the pandemic of the new coronavirus that affected the economy, Petrobras set an export record in April. There were 1 million barrels per day of oil, up 145% compared to the same period in 2019.

According to the state, the expectation is to maintain good performance even with the current crisis. The last record was 771,000 barrels per day, reached in December 2019. In more, Petrobras stressed that after meeting domestic demand, it will be directing efforts to export its production.

It is worth remembering that in the first quarter of 2020, China was the main buyer of Brazilian oil, absorbing 60% of the product exported by the state. In addition, Petrobras usually sells oil to the North American, European, Indian and other destinations in Asia.
