São Paulo raises about R $5 billion with petroleum royalties

The state of São Paulo raised approximately R $5 billion in oil and gas royalties, and can exceed the margin of 20% this year, after the growth of more than 60% in 2018. The increase in the percentage is due to the importance of production in the Santos Basin, which has undergone the production of the Campos basin for the first time.

According to the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), the production of the Santos Basin closed the month of November last year in 1,290,000 barrels per day (bpd), while the Campos basin in 1,130,000.

Of the R $5 billion raised, R $2.4 billion remained with the state, and Ilhabela and São Sebastião, were R $358 million and R $138 million, respectively. The surplus was with the other municipalities in São Paulo.
