The National Agency for Petroleum, Natural gas and biofuels (ANP) approved this Wednesday (4), the second cycle of the permanent supply of oil and natural gas areas, although it has not yet started the sale of the blocks set for the first cycle, Disclosed on November 30th of last year. The rules to participate in the second cycle of the ANP's permanent offerings will be released by the end of December of this year.
For the second cycle the ANP selected 1,054 blocks in 20 terrestrial and sea sedimentary basins, of new frontier and ripe, totaling 441,478,014 square kilometers. The blocks will be released until April 30, 2018, on the site of the bids rounds of the ANP.
85 blocks will be offered in seven land basins: concave (1), Solimões (18), Amazonas (10), Toucan (31), San Francisco (1), appeared (22) and Paraná (2). 969 areas will also be offered in 13 sea basins: Foz do Amazonas (237), para-Maranhão (52), Barreirinhas (31), Ceará (3), Potiguar (17), Pernambuco-Paraíba (5), Sergipe-Alagoas (11), Jacuípe (2), Camamu-Almada (9), Jequitinhonha (3), Holy Spirit ( 25), Santos (402) and Pelotas (172). The ANP stated that the objectives of the Permanent Bank of offerings "are the increase of investments and the production of oil, with impacts on the collection and the generation of employment and income, especially in the selected regions".
The ANP will ask the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) to include in the fifth round of production sharing, which still needs to be approved by the organ, the green tortoise blocks, in the Campos Basin, and Pau Brazil, in the Santos basin, since they were not arrematados In the 2nd and 3rd rounds of sharing, held in October 2017.
