According to information from the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel), biogas production in 2016 grew more than 30%, being this percentage considered a record in the history of biogas in Brazil.
Production jumped from 0.0572% at the beginning of the year to 0.0748% in December, an increase of 30.76%, reaching the current 118.6 megawatts (MW) of installed energy. Also in 2016, a biogas project from Geoenergética in consortium with Raízen won an A-5 energy auction.
The news for the sector was very positive last year going against the direction of several Brazilian industries that had losses because of the crisis established in the country. The expectation is that by 2017 the use and production of biogas will rise even more. Maybe a new record will not be formed by the end of the year?ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
