On Wednesday (02), the president of Shell Brazil, André Araújo, announced that the company will direct from 30% to 35% of its annual research and development (R&D) budget for new energies from next year. To date, approximately 10% of this budget was directed to these energies.
This year, the oil company announced its goal of investing 35% of the annual global budget in new energy and reducing its carbon footprint by up to 65% by 2050. This new announcement follows the line of these objectives, which follow a global trend in the oil and gas sector.
