Shell invests R$3 billion in renewable energy in Brazil

Last Tuesday (21), Shell, reported that it should invest R $ 3 billion in renewable energy projects by the end of 2025. The announcement was made by the Anglo-Dutch oil company at the launch of the company's new brand, Shell Energy Brasil, which will be responsible for the production and distribution of renewable energy and natural gas *in the country, with a focus on solar energy.

In July of this year, the oil company had announced, in partnership with Gerdau, the national solar energy project. Shell Energy's goal is also to operate in the offshore wind segment. The company expects the federal government to establish the regulatory framework to invest more in the segment.
