Raízen buys shell lubricants business

In an announcement made on Monday (7), Raízen reported that bought the lubricants business unit of Shell. The initial public offering (IPO) request was filed last week.

Raízen already had an exclusive contract for the sale of Shell brand lubricants. However, the validity of the contract would end this year. Thus, the solution found was the purchase of the lubricant unit.

The operation will involve the lubricant mixing plant, on Ilha do Governador, and the duque de Caxias base, in addition to the distribution chain and their respective contracts. No transaction values were reported.
