Solar energy expands in the country and brings benefits

Of the total Brazilian energy matrix, 1.2% is produced through solar photovoltaics. However, it seems, that will change. In 2012, changes in energy sector rules have given consumers a little more freedom to choose where your electricity comes from. The standards also allowed the user turned unconsumed energy into a credit to shoot down the light bill. In addition, the account value has been increasing in a each year. It is by these factors that, currently, interest in solar power generation has been growing.

There is therefore an expansion in the distributed generation—in solar panels on roofs or terrain generate energy to meet demand houses or commercial establishments and industry. According to ANEEL, the number of systems of this type deployed went from 8 (January to March 2013) to 111,852 (in September 2019), 111,527 photovoltaic systems, 93 hydraulics, 59 wind farms and 173 thermoelectric.

According to data released in Época magazine, for example, of 2016 to here, the number of solar power systems jumped from 8,700 to 111 1,181% increase in the country. Power grew even more, from 91.84 megawatts (MW) to 1,34,000 MW – a jump of 1,359%.

That is, there is a movement of popularization of solar energy in Brazil, which reaches churches, shopping mall networks, shopping mall and even Dams. Energy has been growing in strides and there are several economic and environmental benefits that are helping to boost the growth of this renewable source.
