Solar power generation triples in 1 year in Brazil

According to data from the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (Absolar), the solar power generation system tripled its activity in one year in Brazil. In the last six months alone, the sector has experienced growth of 45%.

Even with the Covid-19 pandemic that affected businesses and families, there are already 255,000 photovoltaic systems providing power from connections to 319,000 consumer units.

According to the data, the companies of commerce and service are the ones that use the most total capacity, since the greatest benefits in terms of savings are for those who have more expensive electricity bills, above R $ 500. On the other hand, in number of facilities, the residences are already the majority.
