Coming directly from oil deposits, natural gas is a fossil fuel and extremely versatile, used for several purposes besides being a great source of energy. In Brazil, it is found mainly in the seas of the coast, and the largest reserves are located in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo and Bahia.
Basically, the production of natural gas is carried out in six stages: exploration, exploitation, production and processing in the field, processing, transportation and storage and distribution.
Exploration: Demographic studies are carried out in order to verify the possible occurrence or not of natural gas in a given region.
Exploration: This step consists of installing all the necessary infrastructure for the removal of natural gas through the drilling of wells.
Production and Processing in the field: In this stage, possible “contaminants” are separated that are not of interest in the composition of natural gas, such as traces of oil from extraction.
Beneficiation: it is carried out in the petrochemicals, and in this stage the heavy fractions are removed and the by-products produced through natural gas are produced.
Transport and storage: Transport is done through pipelines and storage is not common in Brazil, only in countries with cold climates, aiming at forming a stock for the harsh winters.
Distribution: It is made throughout the country and takes the product to the final consumer.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
