Statoil believes in continuity of the process of buying slice of the BM-S-8

After justice announce the suspension of the sale of 66% of the slice of Petrobras in block BM-S-8, in the field of Carcará, in the pre-salt Santos basin, which was being held with Statoil, the Norwegian oil company reported that remains confident that your agreement with the brazilian State's going to move on.

According to the spokesman of the Norwegian, Erik Haaland, there are other interesting options with Petrobras, but there is expectation that the process will be terminated. The suspension of the sale occurred because of a suit filed by the National Federation of Tankers (FNP), in 2016, which claimed that the brazilian State should have opened a bidding process before waking up for sale.
