Statoil will offshore wells in Canada

Norwegian oil company Statoil announced that your Canadian Branch will make two offshore exploration wells in the Flemish Pass basin, close to the discovery of the Bay du Nord, in Canada. The news of the Statoil came little more than a week after the closing of a deal worth up to 832 million dollars for selling all its oil assets of Northern Canadian province of Alberta to the Athabasca Oil.

In a recent interview, President of Statoil Canada, Paul Fulton, said the Canada fits with the company's strategy of Finance Insurance projects and high volume with low carbon emissions.
